Becoming a wedding photographer was never something I had thought of doing, it just happened to me and I’m very glad it did as it’s one of the most meaningful and enjoyable careers I’ve had to date. Just being part of this special day for people I have not met previously is a great honour and hopefully I do them justice and give them a gift worthy of their trust in me.
One recent wedding made me realise how special this job is, and how much love/pain/joy/sadness is involved in the simple act of committing to someone. Whether it’s love of family and friends or the sadness due to absent loved ones, it’s all part of the day.
Brendan and Judy got married this summer in Blenheim and had a great ceremony at the Hortensia House Gardens, which are just stunning and on such a beautiful summer’s day it was nothing less than amazing. The reception was held at the Marlborough Vintners Hotel, which is very nice as well, delicious food and some great wine topped off the night perfectly.
